Here, pregnant with Asher, I was about 3 months. I should have stopped taking pictures here. (yes, I often go through a "dark hair" phase in the winter. Until I realize the dark hair makes the dark circles under my eyes worse, and the fact I am too lazy to bother with concealer becomes way too apparent, so I go back to blonde, in an effort to minimize dark circles and not have to apply concealer.)
I can hardly look at these photos. 33 weeks pregnant. In Washington D.C and NYC. END OF JUNE. 90's, humid, hot, sticky, chaffing. To add insult to the fact no one would walk next to me because of the odd...gait...I had due to the chaffing MY BUTT STICKS OUT AS FAR AS MY BELLY!
Side note: I went to the doctor when I arrived home. He measured me, looked at me with concern and asked if the baby had been active, how I was feeling and such. When I asked why, he told me I was measuring 3-4 weeks behind. I told him that was about right, considering the baby was pushing out my BEHIND instead of my front. He didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or run.
Asher looked at this and says, "Wow mom, you were much more fatter here. Good thing I came out and you got to straighten out."
These were taken a week before I had Ash at Day Out with Thomas.
...And here I am 2 days before delivery. Dad took us out on the boat where I was hoping to hit some waves and get the show on the road. Didn't work...I had to be induced with both boys, as my body does apparently does not know how to go into labor, and they were worried they were getting too big.
So, I may not have been graceful, I had something staining the front of my shirt more often than not which may/may not continue to be a problem for me but I had two awesome baby boys!
This summer, as I whine about my chaffing thighs, I will think back and remember...they are only chaffing in one small spot, whereas they could be chaffing from thigh to knee.

You were so cute!
But, oh the HEAT when you are pregnant- I hated the heat then.
Okay, at first I thought you were telling us you were pregnant again!
Yeah-I want kids for sure...but sometimes I look at those kinds of pictures or hear stories and I'm okay for the moment being single:)
The heat is starting to drive me crazy as well. I know your pain and I suspect that it only gets worse from here. You looked great though and carried it well :)
ADORABLE! I think you carried the pregnancy beautifully!
You were such a cute pregnant lady! I love it!
aww you are adorable :)
Awesome. I might have to dig out some of my pretties!!:)
Oh you're ute! So, so very cute! :)
I am so glad I wasn't very pregnant in the summer..in Florida. Jellybean must have known better! Poor you!
I am loving looking at everyone's bumps! You looked great. I wasn't pregnant in the summer, but boy, was it hard having a tiny baby in the winter--she screamed at every diaper change.
I was so young when I had Brennan I have very few pictures of me pregnant, some from my baby shower and a few at 32 weeks I sent my aunt but I wish I did week-by-week photos.
Next time I will definitely document better.
P.S. You are crazy to do DC and NYC in the summer, 33 weeks pregnant. It gets hot and humid here plus that is crazy amounts of walking.
Asher's comment cracks me up!!!
Yuck to being due in the summer! I had LB in mid July last year. Miserable!
You're right. I'm sweating just looking at those photos. Good thing you did get straightened out :)
I normally have no butt but, when I was pregnant I finally filed in out.
Thankfully I was pregnant summer through spring and didn't have to deal with heat at the end of my pregnancy. Washington in the summer would have been super hot.
You are too funny! Luckily for me, I had my son at the end of May, before major heat set in :)
HAHAHAHA! I luv asher's comment! That was too funny!
Great pics though. =)
(thnx for visiting my blog earlier too.)
Hahah! Too funny! You look great! I am about 24 weeks now and feeling fatter and fatter everyday!! And with my first son, I often got "are you sure you arent having twins?!?!
I always marvel at how different women look when they're pregnant. I have a friend right now who is just a few days from her due date, and she basically only gained weight in her belly. She just has a huge watermelon belly and looks the same everywhere else. From the back, you can't even tell she's pregnant. I, on the other hand, became a giant human pear.
Also? Women who give birth in the summer deserve a special award for dealing with he heat.
Oh thank you. I needed this today. I am anxiously awaiting this fourth little one, and feeling sooooooooo unattractive. I'm positive I've gained as much weight in my rear-end as my front end. Positive. And to hear your take on the glamour that is pregnancy . . . in the summer . . . just thank you!
What a great flash back. I love the comment from Asher about getting straighten out.
Have a great day!
Haha! Love Asher's comment. I can certainly relate, being about to go through a pregnancy in the summer time. Definitely preferred my last pregnancy, when I got to hide in big sweaters instead.
I totally feel your pain with being pregnant in the summer and the chaffing. Ick. Cute post! I'm a new follower!
Oh, I think you were adorable pregnant! I love the "Good thing I came out and you got to straighten out." HAHAHA! That is so cute!
ahhhh, yes. the pregnancy chaffing. just try that out in FLORIDA....nine months pregnant in flippin' SEPTEMBER. yeah. i swore after chandler was born on sept. 13 that there would be no more september babies in my family. wanna take a wild guess as to when ava made her arrival? apparently i can't count to 9 (as in months) because there was some seriously poor planning on that one ;)
and i'm going to have to look into that whole "blonde hair makes your eye circles go away" trick. i might be throwing down on some hair bleaching circa 1984!!!
You were way cuter at 3 months than I currently am. I'm just thankful I'm due in the winter and not in August like a friend of mine (who lives in Orlando, just to add to the pain).
You are some pregnant, cuteness!!
hehe, I definitely embarrassed myself with the pics... not so cute!
You look cute though- a little extra booty never hurt anyone ;)
You are a cute preggo!
Thanks for stopping by my Rockin'the Bump post! I love yours!
Oh the memories. And the sacrifices we make for our kiddos. I think you rocked then just as you do now.
DC in the summer while pregnant. Clearly, you are some kind of saint. I woulda totally said "induce me NOW!"
Aw :-) You were so cute!!
Oh you looked so cute.. I loved it.. Now you look so amazing. I hope to be like that some day.. Have a great night..
I lived just outside of DC when I was pregnant with baby#3. I feel your pain with the heat. Ugh. And I had to ride the metro to an appointment. Mind you I was like 8 plus months along and NO ONE gave up their seat to Shamu! How rude is that??
Aw, you were still adorable!! Even if you were miserable.
Awww...you were a cute pregnant lady. I was in DC when I was 33 weeks pregnant, too...in August. Not fun.
You looked great. Though you had me totally cracking up about the baby pushing out your butt. LOL
Oh the butt comment :) It makes me think of this (slightly inappropriate) SNL skit about "Butt Pregnancy" . . .I'm not sure if there is a link of it somewhere but oh gracious you always crack me up :)
Ok, first, I love your labels. Spaz. HA! I was pregnant in the summer, too - talk about chafing. Ew. My kids each came 3 weeks early, though - big ass boys wanted OUT. I don't blame them. They were monsters, 8.3 and 9.7 respectively. NINE lbs SEVEN oz? Gawd.
At least you had a butt! I think all of my butt has been eaten by my bump! No problems with chaffing though and I'm glad because that sounds painful.
This post is fun! I think I 'll do one too! Not that there are a ton of pics of me that aren't belly shots I took myself. I was also (and continue to be) a card carrying member of the stained shirt club! :)
What a fun idea for a post! I have maybe one or two pictures of me pregnant with Hannah. And only a couple more than that with Eli. I think you look great!
You look amazing! As I'm pretty big normally I didn't have a big bump until I gave up work at 36 weeks but then holy hell over night I got massive! Never doing that again!!!!
Oh my god I love you. No really, I do!!! I think you're gorgeous preggo. I however was more like a large beached whale when my hubs made us go to Cape Cod for the summer and I was sure someone was going to harpoon my ass!
And I love the bit about the dark hair/light hair thing. I'm a blonde, uh yeah totally natural, and I was looking at pics of myself in college when I was much darker and thought, hmmm, maybe I should go back to being a brunette...it made me look soooo much younger...Hint Hint, I was younger!!! Like 15 years younger. I'm a genius I tell ya! So now, if I can't be thin, at least I can be blonde!
Thanks for swinging by to see my Bon Jovi Belly. I can't wait to read more of your blog! I love it already.
Lots of yummy love,

I think you look beautiful!!!! You wanna see a huge ass, come look at my belly pics!
I love the comments you made in the beginning about your ship has sailed!
Ohmygosh - what is it with babies pushing butts out?
Wait, that just sounded wrong.
But like you already said - it's worth it... every single uncomfortable moment.
What great rewards!
You were the cutest prego lady ever! Your so funny though- I wish I had your sense of humor about EVERYTHING!
You looked great!
I can't believe Thomas didn't send you into labor, between he and Sir Topham Hat, that's a lot of excitement.
The heat during pregnancy is horrible...I had to be pregnant during Texas sweaty heat with all three and it was horrible.
At least you looked cute!
I think you are way too hard on yourself. You look great!
You looked great! But, man, that humidity is a killer!
Thanks for sharing your belly pics! You looked so cute!
I always said I would plan baby #2 differently--I was pregnant with Wiggle Man in the summer (he was born mid-Sept) and this one's due date? Early October. I'm awesome. Although, my MIL did tell me that I'm "much cuter this time around" than I was with Wiggle Man. Score.
You were too cute!
