HardCore Sara

Frankly, you all know I am a spaz. What is the point in sharing another story like Saturday, where I tried to perform an epic jump at the indoor trampoline park, missed my mark, nailed a 12 year old girl in the stomach, knocked Asher over, and banged up my knee? (it is still bruised too. Hurts.)

What I am not sure of? Whether you know I am a #badass  too.

Example? Forthcoming.

A couple of weeks ago, my friends and I took a day trip up to Duluth to spend time doing woman stuff (shopping, eating, and #badass stuff).

Yes, we loaded into the Suburban. Maybe told a few "risque" jokes...and I may or may not have worn my seatbelt there in the back. #badass

That is my friend Kasey there smiling. She is so darn pretty and smiley.
Took silly pictures (x100)

We ate some food. (Okay, nothing really #badass about that, unless you count...forget it.)

Then? We got down to #badass businesz. There is this place called Graffiti Graveyard in Duluth, where all these people go and basically...graffiti. It is under a bridge overpass, and the graffiti runs the entire length of the bridge.

Perfect place for #badasses, right?

First? We had to cross a parking lot- marked closed/stay off. It even had caution tape. We blew that to the wind and went on our way.

Jumped down some hill thing- when there was an option to take the paved path I might add- and crossed the railroad tracks. (don't worry, we didn't have to worry about trains because that particular track is only for the train museum)

Then? We had to cross this raging river, climb a ladder, and throw ourselves over a ledge. #badass

I may have even gone so far as to play a lil "Gansta's Paradise" as we crossed over.

And while we may have gotten a bit nervous when some others arrived, I reminded the group what #badasses we were. (Luckily, it was about 4 p.m., and I am not sure many graffiti artists do their best work at that time. I kindof think it is an art best done under the cover of the night. Anyway, I had my ninja moves ready to whip out if necessary.)

Then? We went to hear Shane Claiborne speak.

The next day, I told everyone I knew about how #badass I am. Hello! I even got yellow spray paint on my boots crossing the ledge! #badass
I kinda thought everyone should start calling me Badass Sara, but one of my friends was all, "Um, you realize you are a mom and teacher, right? That is not very badass." Whatever. I am 100% #badass.

Since I know someone is going to ask: No, I did not add to the graffiti. I believe it is illegal to put graffiti on state owned property?

You are totally badass!! There's no way I would cross a river, climb a ladder or throw myself over a ledge (unless I was drunk, of course).

Love the pics! That Grinch totally rocks!!!

Badass for sure. I already thought you were pretty badass though. It takes a special breed to be a multi-repeat marathoner!

(and I think I used to play really near there as a kid, if you are where I think you were. it wasn't nearly as badass then...)

You only get 95%, since you didn't add to it. Not even gum???? C'mon, you had to at least add some gum to it. LOL!!

You are badass but I think adding to the graffiti was the only proper thing to do...even if just a little bit...just to say that you did! Love the picture of you. I seriously thought it was professionally made when I saw it on FB.
