First off- caught the mouse. Built my trap, had him within an hour. Can you say told you so to my hubby? Thought so.
Secondly and stuff? Had an awesome weekend. The boys went with my parents to Wisconsin Dells, so it was just Corey and I all weekend. How did we whip it up? Sheetrocking.
Yes. We rock.
We went to dinner in St. Paul with friends on Friday night, followed by bowling and hanging out. Saturday and Sunday Corey spent the entire day hanging sheetrock. {His other half spent the entire day on Sunday shopping. Scored 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pants, 5 sweaters, 3 shirts a tank top and workout shirt...} Good news is that we are now DONE and the mudding and taping begins at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow.
My friend is doing the mudding/taping for us. She is
a) awesome at her job- she was the youngest journeywoman in her union- ever
b) a chick- she was the 2nd (her mother was the first!) woman in the union
Makes me all proud of her. She does an an amazing job. She will be done this week and we will begin painting this coming weekend.
Then? All we have left to do is
1. paint the tongue and groove wood that is going to cover the entire ceiling in the house
2. hang the ceiling
3. find some place that is not already full of crap to put the entire contents of the boys room and our room so we can lay flooring on the entire upstairs of the house
4. tile the bathroom and entryway
5. install cabinets/trim/doors
6. install backsplash in kitchen
Yep, that and both work full time jobs, take care of children and stuff. Easy peasy. I have pictures of it now, but they are on the desktop and the boys are watching a movie on the computer, so next time!
Tomorrow, I am back to work! First day of school is...long. I always have a reoccurring nightmare that I have forgotten how to teach over the summer. Luckily, it seems once I am back in front of the students it comes back. I love my job!
Now, this post is so boring I cannot bear to look at it any longer, so bye! Have a great week! I am not sure how much I will be around this week with the busy week...

And yikes, you are doing a major remodel. I don't know why I thought you were just doing the kitchen. I bet your getting excited, it sounds like you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. And once the walls are finished the dust should die down, right?
Just hearing about all you're doing gives me a small head ache. But I'm so excited that you're moving to a new stage in everything! Can't wait for pictures:)

It sounds like a lot of work. Ugh. I hate work. But teaching is fun! I love bossing everyone around...AND getting paid for it! HAVE FUN!!

I really, really, really want to see pictures. Are you guys doing the tile and kitchen backsplash by yourselves? I think you may just have to put an email together and give me pointers. We really need to do that but I am too scared to tackle it yet. It can't be that hard, right?
ooooo....I like your new header/background/etc. Nice. I have teacher nightmares every summer, although it usually consists of me not having a classroom, or teaching some subject I know nothing about, like math, or cooking. Generally it's the room dream though. =)
