Top 10 Thursday

Top Ten Thursday Button
Back again! That time of the week where I have to try to come up with 10 witty things to say about something! It challenges my brain, and I am pretty sure it is in a good way. Least I can work on my counting backwards, right?

Today? Top Ten Things I Do That Drive My Hubby Nuts...yet he loves me anyway...

10. Things like this...
Honestly, Asher asked me too. I was just spending quality time with him.

9. Leave cupboard doors open. Oh, and the lids are never on tight on anything I touch. If you hang with me over an hour, you find yourself automatically tightening lids behind me.

8. Sometimes I accidently run into things...like this time. In Asher's words, "it was an acci-dent, I won't eber do it again, I promise."

7. I never get up in the morning. He has to literally yank me out of bed by my feet to get me out. Never been a morning person, never will be. (course I said that about running...)

6. I shop too much. Duh.

5. I get all crabby when I have to cook. Like last night? Got all crabby making pancakes. Can you imagine if I took on something like..I don't know, frozen corn?

4. I fold clothes...terribly. Actually, I am not sure if what I do is even considered folding. We have lots of talks about "How to Fold Laundry so You Don't Have to Iron Everything." (obviously this is working well for him.

3. I drive fast and hit curbs. We also have lectures called, "How To Enter the Driveway without Banking and Ruining the New Tires We Just Spent $$$ On." My dad is good for this one too, actually.

2. I shop a lot. Again, duh.

1. I am not a snuggler. I know. My hubs? LOVES to snuggle. Me? After about 12 seconds, I begin to squirm. By 21 seconds I am trying to escape. He now jokingly counts to see how long I can make it before squirming. {Asher is the same way-even as a baby. Elijah? Loves to snuggle too.}

Have I totally annoyed you? Would I drive you nuts too? I am so lucky my hubs loves me through everything!

I love to shop and get all in a crazy mode when I have to clean and get ready for a party or pack. I know it drives the husband wild. Have a great day..

I share my nail polish with my 15 yo SON.

Now, THAT drives my hubby crazy.

Numbers 9,4,3, and 1 are me to a tee, my hubby hates all those things about me too!

No you did not paint that poor baby's finger nails!!!!!

What a hoot!!!!!

Come by and see my list.

I was happy to hear someone else hits the curb. I seem to do this all the time at the bank. I think they put the curb there so you will damage your vehicle and maybe have to take out a loan. lol. I also agree with folding clothes. If I had all the money in the world I would pay someone to come do the laundry, put it away and iron the clothes.
Great list!

Ahhhhhhhh, #5. The hubs actually prefers it when I don't cook so as to avoid the crabbiness. Ah ha

I think you're one of my long lost sisters!

Maybe instead of yanking you out of bed in the morning he should try to cuddle with you then:)

OH, those were great, Sara!

I like the theory of snuggling, yet it's really hard to get comfy that way, so I tend to wanna wiggle away, too.

And yea, cooking? Blech.
Folding clothes? Blech!
Shopping? WOO HOO! When we goin?

I had pancakes for dinner last night too! Talk about an awesome dinner. I just think that at breakfast you're too asleep to appreciate a good pancake.
And I got a little mad at them, I was using the griddle for bacon so I had to make them in a pan. Not cool.

Are you sure we are not related? Well, except for the running thing. I do occasionally like to cook. I'll cook for you if you run for me.

Leaving cupboard door open..... DRIVES ME CRAZY!! My husband will so do that as well as drawers. "I'm coming back to it in a minute," is the response.

I'm with you on the snuggling though. I'm cool for a few minutes but after that let me spread out and have my space. Heaven help me if it happens to get cold in the house. I'm practically off the bed trying to escape hubs b/c he wants to cuddle and get warm. LOL

I think we would make great friends! LOL :)

ah leaving the cupboards opened and not tightening the lids would totally drive me up the wall!!! On the other hand I'm not a snuggler either and it's funny that my husband laughs at this too!The nails umm no comment:)

I'm so with you on 9 & 6! I think we'd get along just fine! I'm interested to see what your hubby thinks about your list. ;)

Those are Ashers fingers? LOL

I get crabby when anyone else is in the kitchen while I cook. It's like get out of my way.... or I'll throw you in the oven!!

I am very very good at folding towels. And underwear. I know, I know, why do you fold underwear? I don't know how to answer that except that I learned how to fold towels and underwear from my friend's family while I was growing up and it stuck to me. My own family makes fun of me.

I'd go nuts. Put the darn lids on things! What is wrong with you people! Sorry- I was actually just yelling at my boys, not at you.

I stink at folding too! In fact.. my bride will push me out of the way when I'm folding my own shirts because it bugs her so much to watch!!

Love your list - we have lots in common! I haven't painted Eli's fingers yet, but Hannah's are GREEN right now! I am not a snuggler either - I'll make an exception for my kids though.

Yup, I also love to shop and I'm cranky when I cook.

In fact, I have to go cook right now and I'm getting all ticked just THINKING about it.

Um, #3? I immediately was reminded of driving in "The Bird" (sans deer blood & fur) and being pretty sure we were going to launch off the road and into the air.

Some things have not changed! ;)

It's official. To quote my new favorite SNL rookie " I ****ing love you!" on live tv.

HA! Also now officially following you. I seem to forget that step.

Adding you to the blogreel now:)

Cute list! I get incredibly cranky when trying to cook, too.

In my relationship, I'm like your husband and my husband is like you. Funny!

Liz Mays said...

I like to snuggle but if I snuggle, he thinks it's time to snuggle and I sure as spitfire ain't going for that!

Holly said...

I'm guilty of a lot of these. Like the cupboard doors. And shopping. And folding. And....

Dakermom said...

OK, I can not believe you painted your son's nails purple! That's great!!! My hubby would have flipped too! PS, you have an award at my blog for being a loyal commenter :)

I shope too much to. And mornings, yuck!

More Than Words said...

LOL, you sound like me!!

I'm sooooo not a cuddler. I start to get uncomfortable and claustrophobic.

honeypiehorse said...

That's OK, I won't be annoyed if you don't snuggle with me.

Amber Page Writes said...

I'm pretty sure I could have written this exact list. I'm not at all sure why my husband puts up with me...

HeartsMakeFamilies said...

not a snuggler? me either. I try really I try but it makes me squirm after a minute.

Please stop by my blog. I left you an award.

LZ @ My Messy Paradise said...

I relate to almost all! Especially the snuggling and getting out of bed. I could stay in bed all day, but try to snuggle with me when I want to sleep? Sure fire way to get me up, and in a bad mood.

Kaci said...

LOL! I love this. I love to snuggle but once you snuggle me and are breathing on me, it's like a tick and I have to get away. Does that make sense? Does that make me a horrible person? :)

Laughed out loud picturing you hitting curbs! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH! That is so me....

except when I drive his big testosterone truck I usually wipe out mailboxes. hee hee

i don't understand how running over curbs ruins the tires. how 'bout not slamming on the breaks at the last minute, hubs, and we'll save money there!

anyway, love your list. 'specially # 8, 7, 5, 4... ok. love your list!

Frugal Vicki said...

This cracked me up. maybe because you just described my husband to a T. not kidding. Minus the shopping. Everything else. Gosh those cupboard doors make me mad. As I read yours I actually felt the anger boiling in my throat. Grrr.

Crystal said...

I hate snuggling and I am also not a morning person lol

Nicole said...

lol that is so cute, his nails are blue!!! Love it.

I also have a problem with running into things, I left a pan on the floor after taking it out of the oven and forgot to put it back in, and tripped on, not once, but twice! Our puppy got so scared.

House Queen said...

I love to shop too! Duh!
But, you sound a little like MY hubby by leaving the doors open and the lids loose! lol
I like your list and your blog! Very glad to have found it! We have alot in common: I am a teacher, I have two boys, and oh yeah, I love to shop!!!

Stop by sometime!

I came across your blog via Michelle's and thought I'd say hello. :-) I leave the cupboard doors open too, when I'm cooking (which is a rare occurrence these days) and it drives my hubby crazy. He walks in the kitchen like it's an obstacle course, I'm too short to hit my head on the open doors but he's almost lost an eye because of it. Oops.

Where in MN do you live? I'm a little south of the St. Paul, a small town (not sure if it's considered a suburb or not!) nobody's ever heard of. :-)

The girls and I have been forbidden from painting Corban's nails anymore. Sheesh. Grow a little, would ya? *sigh*

I'm a terrible parker. I rub up against the curb and get the tire lecture, too.

I don't like to snuggle. My family all has this big fat joke about how when mom pats you on the back it means "K, I'm done, get off me now."

Sheesh.
